Arvo Pärt – Even If I Lose Everything

In our film, Arvo Pärt, together with Immo Mihkelson, deciphers his notes in those workbooks – a fascinating and interesting activity. At every page, something unexpected emerges, either joyful or sad. There are things that are incomprehensible, but there are also things that are edifying. 

 

Estonian film to take part in IDFA Competition Programme

Toomas Järvet’s first full-length documentary Rough Stage (Karmil pinnal) will play in competition at the prestigious International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) which runs 18th-29th November. The film will play in the First Appearance competition programme, a strand that celebrates new talent as it screens first or second features. This will mark the film’s International Premiere. It was released domestically on October 8th.

New cash rebate scheme coming to Estonia

In 2016 the Estonian Film Institute will support a new programme that aims to encourage better cooperation between Estonian and foreign film producers making films in Estonia.

Estonian Film Days in Israel

The project's main objective is to introduce Estonia’s culture and cinema in general all over the world. In Israel, we are going to see on screen five Estonian films during two weeks in three different cities – Tel Aviv, Haifa and Jerusalem. These five films are the latest production of Estonian film industry.

The Nordic Film Days takes place from 4 to 8 November 2015 in Lübeck, Germany. Arvo Pärt – Even if I Lose Everything directed by Dorian Supin will be screened in the documentary programme of the 57th edition of the festival.

Mihkel Ulk’s debut, Zero Point (Null Punkt) will premiere in Germany at the Mannheim-Heidelberg International Film Festival, which takes place 9th-24th October. The film will participate in the festival’s main competition program.
